The Houston Rockets are just two games away from the end of the regular season. They have one more half of basketball to finish against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night before taking on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. The one thing head coach Mike D'Antoni will surely want to do is take it easy on his guys with the postseason looming and a lengthy playoff run expected ahead.

Unfortunately, they've just been hit with a significant injury as their best defender in Luc Mbah a Moute exit the game late in the first half with a shoulder injury of some sort.

According to Rockets beat reporter Jonathan Feigan, Mbah a Moute will not return with what the team is calling a disclosed shoulder.

Mbah a Moute finished the game with two points, two rebounds, and one steal in eight minutes of action. I'm sure all coach Mike D'Antoni wants is to come out of these final games without any kind of freak injury, so with the number one seed locked up, he may be enticed to rest his key rotational players in the final game of the season.

Earlier this season, Mbah a Moute missed 15 games and a month's worth of time due to a dislocated shoulder. Hopefully this one doesn't keep him out a month, because the Rockets will need their best defender starting this weekend (or as soon as possible).

Mbah a Moute will surely be out on Wednesday night against the Kings, and he'll finish the regular season averaging 7.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game on 48.4 pertcent shooting.
