Roman Atwood's 2022 Net Worth, Roman Atwood

Roman Atwood’s net worth in 2022 is estimated to be around $14.5 million. This is agreed upon by multiple reputable sources such as Celebrity Net Worth.

Let us now know more about the famous YouTube personality!

Roman Bernard Atwood was born on May 28, 1983, in Millersport, Ohio, to Curt Dale Atwood and Susan Atwood. He has been creating, producing, and filming videos since high school. He then began his independent career when he produced a series of DVDs called “The Nerd Herd”. In 2006, he sold The Nerd Herd at the Warped Tour.

On top of his projects, Atwood also worked on different film projects and commercials in Columbus, Ohio, until 2010 when he decided to pursue his passion for comedy which led him to create the YouTube channel called “Sketch Empire”.

However, before fully starting his YouTube career, he worked at his family’s business, a rope factory called “Atwood Rope”.

Roman Atwood started the Sketch Empire YouTube channel with friends Dennis Roady, Chase Gilroy, Greg Painter, Jeff Williams, and Jon Cormany. He and Gilroy have known each other since kindergarten, and he met Cormany and Roady via Craigslist ads. The group first met as a whole in May 2010 and it just grew from there.

“We film for fun. Comedy is what we all enjoy. Our videos just recently became “wildly popular” and definitely surpassed our expectations. Before, we were just another YouTube channel. Now, we have been dubbed a “viral video production team” by whatsgoodmusic.com and “the new internet standard” by a TBS Television Producer.” said Dennis Roady in a 2012 interview with Columbus Underground.

In 2013, Roman Atwood launched his own merchandise called “Smile More”, where he sold T-shirts, hoodies, caps, bracelets, phone cases, stickers, and more.

One of Roman Atwood’s most-viewed pranks was the Plastic Ball Prank that he uploaded on his YouTube channel in January 2015. In the video, he filled his house with plastic balls around 2.5 feet high — basically turning it into a massive ball pit. The video currently has 91.6 million views.

The video was noticed by Nissan and then they gave him a 2015 Nissan GTR which Atwood used in the Super Bowl XLIX half-time commercial titled the “With Dad” campaign. The advertisement won an award in the 5th Streamy Awards for the Best Brand Campaign. All of this obviously helps to add to Roman Atwood's net worth in 2022.

Some of his top videos include the anniversary prank that was uploaded on November 20, 2013. It currently has 93.8 million views. The prank featured Atwood pranking his then-girlfriend and now-wife Brittney Smith during their five-year dating anniversary that he cheated on her, and it backfired when Smith discovered that it was a prank beforehand and pretended that she cheated on him too.

In March 2014, one of his pranks went sideways as he was arrested by the Columbus Police Department for causing panic and having disorderly conduct. His prank? He pretended to rob an ATM in public. In the video, their group bought an ATM and loaded it with fake money and that was the one that they pretended to rob. However, a bystander saw the event and the bystander called the police despite Atwood and his crew explaining that it was just a prank.

Roman Atwood was released on bail and was summoned to appear in court. His case was widely contested and a lot of his fans showed up to show support. He then won the case on the basis of expression of art and freedom of speech.

Aside from his work as a YouTuber, Roman Atwood released a film in 2016 alongside his fellow YouTubers Dennis Roady and Vitaly Zdorovetsky called “Natural Born Pranksters”. The movie was produced and distributed by Lionsgate and it was about the trio staging pranks that were too big and elaborate for YouTube.

Unfortunately, the movie received little-to-no critical attention as neither famous review sites Rotten Tomato nor Metacritic failed to release a proper score for the film due to the low number of reviews it received.

In the same year, Roman Atwood went on a comedy tour alongside fellow YouTube star Yousef Erakat (better known as Fousey Tube) and they released a movie featuring a behind-the-scenes look of their tour in a documentary-style format.

In 2019, Roman Atwood appeared in a parody film starring brothers Jake Paul and Logan Paul wherein Logan portrays a fictional version of himself that is afraid of flying and is tasked to safely land a plane containing a group of various social media influencers. Atwood appeared in the film as an airport security guard.
