This year's Royal Rumble was a fun premium event with a lot of nice surprises. No championship title is cheapened by a needless Kickoff Show. The lack of any Tag Team Championship match is also just fine, as it allowed the entire program to be lean, not overstaying its welcome. Read below to be up to date on the 2022 Royal Rumble results: All Match Results, Reactions, and Grades.

Match 1: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship

A dramatic match that delivers in both work quality and storytelling, making a fantastic opener for the premium live event.

The psychology of this match is so strong. Seth Rollins entered the match in his Shield ring attire, entering from the crowd, using the Shield entrance music, and even calling back to the early days of their careers by bringing out moves they don't really use today anymore. It hits extra hard given that Rollins has been using his betrayal of the Shield to get into the head of Roman Reigns, and the Head of the Table totally sold the emotional damage.

Roman Reigns' frustrations were evident early on in the match, allowing Seth “Freakin” Rollins to take over early. Reigns would be able to grab a breather, but Seth would execute a Shield Power Bomb on Reigns at the announce table, followed up with a Frog Splash in the middle of the ring, getting a two-count. A buckle bomb and a stomp later only led to a two-count – but the crowd reaction says that everyone expected things to end there. Reigns would counter another stomp attempt with a Clothesline from Hell, allowing him the champion to take over the match.

Roman would beat up Seth Rollins on the ground, but Seth would counter with a Triangle Choke. Roman Reigns then countered by lifting Seth off the mat, throwing his challenger to the mat, and then shoulder-first unto the turnbuckle. The fight moves on the outside to the ring, with Seth Rollins being hurled to the timekeeper's area, and then unto the steel steps. Reigns brought Rollins back inside, hits him with a Superman Punch, but only gets a two-count. Frustrated, Reigns would attempt a Spear at Seth, but a desperate Seth was able to counter with a Pedigree. The battered Seth Rollins only managed to get a two-count, after struggling to cover the champion.

Seth would rise to tune up the band, only to be countered by Roman. Reigns would hit another Spear, but struggle to cover. Seth then taunted Roman Reigns with a Shield fist bump, telling him “I love you, I've always loved you.” This frustrates Reigns, visibly losing focus, who then places Seth Rollins in a guillotine. Seth manages to reach out to the ropes, but Reigns would not break the hold, leading to a disqualification.

This was a great opener overall for the Royal Rumble. The psychology was pitch-perfect. The ending is a bit marred for another non-ending, but the emotional win by Seth over Reigns was great storytelling. Seth won the match and the psychological battle, but he didn't win the belt. Reigns' beatdown of Seth Rollins at the end was the cherry on top, showing just how affected Roman was by all of Seth's theatrics. We might get more out of this rivalry moving forward from this pay-per-view, as Seth didn't technically lose to Roman.

Royal Rumble Results: Seth Rollins wins via disqualification, which leads to Roman Reigns retaining his Universal Championship.

Match 2: Women's 30-Man Royal Rumble

An oddly-paced Royal Rumble with a whole lot of nothing happening, whose surprise entrants failed to draw a lot of reaction from the crowd, was saved by a surprising return and an equally-surprising result.

Sasha Banks drew the unlucky number 1, entering the ring with a Sailor Moon-inspired outfit. She faces Melina, which is a nice surprise. Banks and the WWE Legend worked well to open the Women's Royal Rumble match, taunting each other with their signature poses. However, Sasha threw Melina easily out of the top rope, allowing Sasha a little bit of rest time before #3's entrance. Tamina then enters the ramp, but Sasha wouldn't let her enter the ring, hitting the Meteora from the mat. However, Sasha won't be able to eliminate Tamina as fast as she did Melina, and the #4 entrant would arrive.

Liv Morgan enters as #6 with a whole lot of momentum. She almost eliminates Sasha Banks, only to be interrupted by Tamina. Queen Zelina enters as #7, only to be targeted by Sasha Banks. She would also be saved by Tamina, who then took Banks to the top rope. Sasha fights back, but Zelina finishes the deed, kicking Sasha off the mat, giving The Boss an early exit, crossing her off from ever becoming this year's Women's Royal Rumble Winner.

Bianca enters shortly after at #8. The announce table hypes up Bianca, remarking how Belair has better chances now at #8 than she did in last year's Rumble, which she won from #3. Bianca would decimate everyone in the ring, but was unsuccessful in eliminating anyone before #9 arrived, no thanks to interruptions by Tamina.

Sonya Deville arrives early ahead of rival Naomi, entering at #11. She enters with her jacket on, which means, as Cory Graves points out, meant she's still an official. She then proceeds to the commentary desk, questioned by the rest of the table but welcomed by Cory, and then sits out the match by being a commentator instead.

Natalya enters as the #12 entrant, who took up Bianca and Tamina at the same time. She would throw both of them at the same time, but Bianca was able to hang on, leaving Tamina the only woman outside the ring.

Naomi's old partner, Cameron, enters the ring. The announce table points out that Cameron might form a partnership with Naomi when she arrives, which incensed Sonya Deville, who, as we mentioned, was on the announce table until now. Sonya then removes her jacket, heads into the ring, and eliminates Cameron. Naomi would arrive next, entering with a furious face on. After checking on her former partner at ringside, Naomi heads into the ring straight into Sonya, and the two brawled, with Naomi successfully eliminating Sonya.

Rhea Ripley enters at #16, becoming a quick target for everyone. She fights back her aggressors, and then picked a fight with the Women's Tag Team Champions Carmella and Queen Zelina, and then eliminating both at the same time.

Charlotte enters at #17, taking her time on the ramp with her robe draped over her shoulders and her WWE SmackDown Women's Championship Belt hugging her waist. She enters as a huge monster, eliminating Aliyah unceremoniously, then almost eliminating Naomi, who survives by performing a handstand on the floor. However, Sonya would grab Naomi's hands, pulling her off the mat, eliminating her. Naomi would then chase Sonya at ringside. In the ring, women would team up to try to take Bianca out, then #18 entrant, Right to Censor's Ivory enters to a very mild pop, entering the ring with a mic and a soliloquy. She's answered by a quick elimination by Rhea Ripley.

Brie Bella enters at #19, facing off with Natalya when she gets to the ring. Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair team up to try to eliminate Charlotte, before they get interrupted by the much-awaited entrance of IMPACT Knockouts Champion Mickie James, entering to the tune of Hardcore Country with her IMPACT Knockouts Championship Belt on her waist. She would immediately faceup with former rival Michelle McCool, who she eliminates with a hurricanrana.

#21 entrant sees another return, as Alicia Fox enters the ramp with her usual entrance theme. The first African-American Diva's Champion performs as if she hasn't been away for long, kicking down women left and right, prompting Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley to team up to try to eliminate her.

Nikki A.S.H. enters as the #22 entrant, distracting Rhea, who looks onto the ramp waiting for her former partner. Nikki sneakily enters the ring and tries to eliminate Rhea from behind, but Rhea fights back. Nikki would back off to evade an elimination, sliding below the ropes, and Charlotte uses the distraction to hit Rhea from behind.

Nikki Bella enters at #24, immediately teaming up with her twin sister, eliminating Alicia Fox, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan, much to the chagrin of fans.

Lita enters with a huge pop at #26, who the Bella Twins immediately prepared for. The Twins would try to gang up on Lita, but she would fend them off. Mickie James joins her attackers, but Lita successfully takes them all out. She throws Mickie over the ropes and performs a DDT on her across the ropes, before kicking off the IMPACT Knockouts Champion for an elimination.

Molly Holly enters at #27 with her superhero gimmick, only to be ambushed by Nikki A.S.H. even before she enters the ring. Nikki would gloat over her attack, bringing in Molly Holly inside the ring, quickly eliminating her after a couple of choice words. This is a good way to give Nikki some heat, but sadly, Molly Holly's not that big of a deal to the WWE Universe anymore, and the impact isn't what WWE hoped for.

At #28, Ronda Rousey makes her triumphant return to the Rumble, immediately putting everyone on notice. The Baddest Woman In The Planet immediately attacks both Nikki A.S.H. and Brie Bella with a modified guillotine at the corner. She eliminates Nikki with a kick, and as she winds up a punch for Nikki, Brie interrupts, only for the Twins to end up face-to-face as Ronda evades. Brie says, why not, and punched her sister out of the ring, eliminating her. Ronda would then eliminate Brie, avenging her stolen elimination.

Shotzi enters at #29, and Shayna Baszler enters at #30. Shayna quickly teams up with her co-Horsewoman of MMA, with the two starting to clean house. All thirty entrants are now here with Ronda and Shayna directing traffic. Ronda would eliminate Shotiz, before turning her attention to Natalya. With a little assist from Bianca, Natalya gets eliminated, who promptly comes back into the ring to try to eliminate Ronda from behind. However, Ronda's better than that, and she throws Natalya away for a second time.

Lita would then shine in the spotlight, hitting her signature finisher at Charlotte, before teasing a Swanton Bomb. Charlotte wouldn't let her though, as she would spear through Lita between the ropes, eliminating her.

The last four participants are composed of Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Shayna Baszler, with three of them making great candidates as this year's Women's Royal Rumble Winner. The four squares up, and Bianca Belair tries to execute a Kiss of Death on Shayna. However, Charlotte would sneak from behind and throw the two off the ropes, leaving her, the WWE SmackDown Women's Champion, as the underdog in a one-on-one match against Ronda Rousey. The two have a lot of history together, with both entering Wrestlemania once upon a time as the champions in the losing end of a Triple Threat match. Charlotte charges as Ronda Rousey, but the Rowdy one simply evaded capture, hurling Charlotte Flair over the top rope to capture a Main Event Title Match at WrestleMania.

Royal Rumble Results: Ronda Rousey is back, and the Baddest Woman on the Planet will be heading to Wrestlemania to challenge her champion of choice. Ronda Rousey is the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble Winner. This must be the biggest surprise among tonight's Royal Rumble Results.

Match 3: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Doudrop for the Raw Women's Championship

If the fans haven't made it clear enough that they don't care about this matchup, then I don't know what would.

Doudrop enters this match as the Face, but she's just not built up enough by the Creative to draw the suitable crowd reaction. Instead, the heel of this match, Becky Lynch, gets a much more favorable reaction from the crowd. Doudrop's face mannerisms don't get the appropriate response from the crowd, and the audience just seemed so bored out of the match.

Becky Lynch and Doudrop would trade the advantage in this match, with Becky Lynch being the wily veteran who has all the moves, with Doudrop doing all the counters and the underdog fighting face. Becky does a good job in selling Doudrop as a threat with her great facial reactions. Doudrop also sells Becky's attacks well, but the crowd just isn't taking it.

Doudrop tries to execute a corner splash at Becky, but the Raw Women's Champion counters by bringing up her knees. The champ executes a Molly-go-round at Doudrop for a two-count. A leg drop from the top rope on a suspended Doudrop gets another two-count. A frustrated Becky tries to execute a Manhandle Slam but gets countered with a Big Ending, leading to a two-count. Doudrop drags Becky to the corner to try another Corner splash, but Becky instead uses the elevation as leverage to finally hit Doudrop with a Manhandle Slam from the middle rope. Becky Lynch covers for the three.

The two's in-ring work is okay, but the lack of crowd reaction really hurt this match. This isn't a dig at Doudrop – rather, WWE really failed to develop this story and character to make the WWE Universe truly care about Doudrop.

This got the right Royal Rumble Results, but it felt very low stakes compared to the other matches on the card. Doudrop needs to be built up much, much more by the WWE Creative before the crowd could start caring for her and acknowledging her as a legitimate threat.

Royal Rumble Results: Becky Lynch retains the Raw Women's Championship with a Manhandle Slam from the middle rope.
Grade: C-

Match 4: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship

This match had great in-ring work and didn't overstay its welcome while still showcasing both competitors' prowess. The twist ending was also a great way to leave the story open-ended, making fans wonder about what is to come.

WWE started off by highlighting the careers of the two competitors with a promo video, which really adds to the hype and stakes of the match. The promo video also helps sell the “dream match” narrative that WWE is trying to pitch this match as. Putting this match ahead of the Men's Royal Rumble also makes the main event much more exciting, as it leaves open the possibility of this match's loser to appear at the Rumble.

The Former Bellator fighter Bobby Lashley plays the underdog in this Giant-against-Giant match against Former UFC fighter and current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. Brock starts off by executing a German Suplex on Bobby, which frustrates the challenger. Lashley returns the favor by throwing the champion in a German Suplex of his own, which only served to amuse Brock. Brock responds by laughing and then executing a back-to-back German Suplex at Bobby Lashley, which made Lashley's lips bleed. Bobby throws fists with Brock, counters an attempted F5 with a spear, followed up by another spear that sends the champion reeling, forcing him to retreat outside of the ring.

Bobby tries to charge at Brock through the barricade, but the champion slyly evaded. As Bobby lies in the wreckage, Brock laughs. But Bobby recovers quickly, countering a hold by The Beast Incarnate, only to be thrown to the opposite corner post shoulder-first. Brock hits another German Suplex, drunk with confidence. He hits another German Suplex. Then another. As MVP tries to motivate the fallen Lashley, Brock hits yet another German Suplex, leaving the challenger limp on the floor. A fifth German Suplex made Bobby Lashley turn into a ragdoll.

Brock counting down the number of consecutive German Suplexes really made him look dominant over his equally-threatening foe. Brock then picks up Bobby in the middle of the ring, preparing an F5, but Bobby was able to slip behind, and The Almighty manages to lock on the Hurt Lock from behind. Brock looked like he was in big trouble and the desperate champion had to push his adversary at the corner, inadvertently hitting the referee. Bobby immediately tried to execute another Hurt Lock, but the champion countered with an F5. However, Bobby Lashley's legs hit the referee, knocking him over. Brock covers for the pin, but the referee was out cold.

Roman Reigns then appeared out of nowhere to spear Brock Lesnar, then stared down Paul Heyman outside the ring. Roman stretches out his hand, testing Heyman's allegiances, who in turn handed over the WWE Championship Belt to Roman. Reigns would hit Brock with the belt, allowing Bobby Lashley to claim victory with a 3-count as Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman walked away from the ring, leaving a devastated Brock Lesnar in the middle of the ring.

Royal Rumble Results: Bobby Lashley wins the WWE championship from Brock Lesnar, after a surprising betrayal by Paul Heyman.

Match 5: The It Couple vs. The Grit Couple

The right couple went over, and hopefully this match ends this feud and have its members move on to the next program.

This low-stakes match relies a lot on whether or not you like these two couples, but the competitors gave us a quick and entertaining mixed tag match that helped the fans recover energy from the previous match before the Men's Royal Rumble.

The women started the match, but the cowardly Maryse had no choice but to tag in his husband. The Miz and Edge faced off, but Maryse kept on sneaking in hits at Edge to give The Miz the advantage. After too many interruptions, the Glamazon decided to take things into her own hands, chasing Maryse away with a steel chair. The distraction allowed Edge to hit a signature move on The Miz, leading to a two-count. The fallen Miz searched for his wife, tagging her in to face Beth Phoenix.

The Glamazon totally dominated Maryse, but The Miz interrupted a pin for a two-count. The interruption didn't sit well with Beth, who then squared up with The Miz. Beth totally dominated the Hollywood Star as well, but Maryse sneaked in a purse with a brick inside, the same brick they've been using to attack the Grit Couple in the past month. Maryse then hits Beth from behind, knocking her out. Maryse covers, but only manages a two-count. Maryse then dominates the match for a while, but Beth managed to counter with a double clothesline to force the duo to tag in their male partners.

Energy spiked up at this point, with Edge gaining the upper hand. However, Edge gets distracted by Maryse once again, giving The Miz the advantage. Beth had enough and went across the ring to elbow Maryse. Edge and The Miz were at the top turnbuckle at this point, and Maryse used the opportunity to powerbomb The Miz. This allowed Edge to hit a Flying Elbow at The Miz, but this also just led to a two-count.

Maryse would attack Beth outside, throwing her at the steel steps, knocking her out cold. But back in the ring, Edge hit The Miz with a flap jacket. Edge tries to attack The Miz, but Maryse distracts him again, allowing her to hit a Hurricanrana on Edge. Beth tries to intervene, but she got staved off by Maryse. The Miz hits his least devastating finisher, The Skull-Crushing Finale, but only also led to a two-count. The Miz and Maryse tried to do a double skull-crushing finale at Edge, but Beth came in just in the nick of time for the save. The Grit Couple then hit a double spear on The Miz, which Miz sold spectacularly. The two then raised their respective opponents, hitting them with a synchronized Glam Slam, which allowed Edge to cover for the pin.

Royal Rumble Results: The Grit Couple of Edge and Beth Phoenix win over The It Couple Miz and Maryse in a non-title mixed tag team match at the Royal Rumble.

Match 6: Men's 30-Man Royal Rumble

This was a very fun match that really delivered on its surprises and match quality. While a lot of people might bemoan the result, it still opened up a very interesting storyline that could make everyone tuned in every week on the way to Wrestlemania 38.

We got an interesting matchup as the first two competitors in this year's Men's Royal Rumble: AJ Styles at #1 and the Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at #2. Both competitors have amazing histories with the Royal Rumble. AJ debuted at the 2016 Royal Rumble, while Shinsuke won the 2018 Royal Rumble. Shinsuke would later enter a program with AJ Styles later that summer, leading to a heel turn by the King of Strong Style at Wrestlemania.

The two wrestlers gave us a glimpse of a dream match that could still happen somewhere down the line. The two technicians traded blows before entrant #3: Austin Theory entered the match. Mr. McMahon's Pet Wrestler entered oozing with confidence, but the crowd reaction showed that they're not yet ready to have him as a Royal Rumble winner. He stilled showed up, though, overcoming both Styles and Nakamura immediately.

Robert Roode enters as the #4 entrant, making the Royal Rumble filled with NXT alumni (AJ Styles did show up in last week's NXT 2.0, right? Does that count?) The first four participants of the Rumble showcases WWE's roster's depth: just the first four in and the ring is already filled up with talent. Sadly, it wouldn't last long, as AJ Styles made quick work of The Glorious One. Shinsuke would then set up Austin Theory for a Kinshasa, but the young star continues to impress, countering with his own maneuvers. Ridge Holland would enter at #5 locking up immediately with Austin Theory, while AJ Styles unceremoniously threw over Shinsuke over the top rope.

Sami Zayn enters as the #8 participant, quickly squaring up with Montez Ford, who he almost eliminated. It's fun to hear the crowd still cheer Sami Zayn as if he were still El Generico, but Sami just doesn't have the management's confidence to have him win this Rumble. As expected, Johnny Knoxville entered at the #9 spot. He enters wearing a cape and a crown, coming out with the rest of the Jackass cast. As he gets cheered on by his co-stars, Knoxville rushed into the ring, quickly spearing Sami. He pointed at the Wrestlemania sign after bringing down Sami, but he gets challenged by AJ Styles. “Hit me as hard as you can,” says AJ, and so Knoxville did. It amused AJ, who then responded with a 5-hit combo. Montez Ford would follow up with a Splash from the top rope, before Ridge Holland would bring Knoxville to the mat. As Holland was winding up his fish, Sami Zayn went in with a Helluvah Kick, eliminating Knoxville. Zayn gloated over Knoxville, which gave AJ Styles the opportunity to throw him over the rope. This was a fun segment, giving us a slight distraction before we move on to the second half of the match.

Angelo Dawkins enters at #10, followed by Omos at #11. In his Royal Rumble debut, Omos acted like the giant he is, and the participants on the ring sold his aura well. Omos immediately decimated his opponents, claiming that “This is my house!” before eliminating The Street Profits in quick succession.

Ricochet entered at #11, and people would remember how Ricochet served as a giant slayer when he helped Drew McIntyre eliminate Brock Lesnar in the 2020 Royal Rumble. However, the athletic high flier proved no match to Omos, who gave him an emphatic slap across the chest.

Raw Tag Team Champion Chad Gable of the Alpha Academy went in rallying the troops, directing the others to gang up on Omos. He would direct Damian Priest to fight Omos first, but he gets eliminated, too. The rest of the stars would use this as an opportunity to try to jump on Omos, trying to lift the big guy over the top rope. The stars struggle, until Dominik Mysterio came in at #13 to help, and AJ Styles used a Phenomenal Elbow to finally send Omos over the top rope, leaving the Giant with a measly body count of three.

Happy Corbin entered at #14, eliminating both Dominik Mysterio and Ricochet, with AJ Styles eliminating Austin Theory in turn. This could lead to a longer program between the two, as Austin Theory now has more reason to try to beat AJ Styles than before, having lost to him in the go-home episode of Raw. That puts AJ's eliminations up to six, the most in the entire contest, even more than the eventual Men's Royal Rumble Winner.

Sheamus enters as the #17 entrant, watching his partner Ridge Holland get eliminated by AJ Styles as he entered the ring. He vows to go get AJ, quickly getting to work. Rick Boogs entered as the #18 entrant, immediately showcasing his strength by manhandling Chad Cable, before throwing him out with a Military Press Slam over the top rope.

Madcap Moss enters as the #19 entrant, and he and Happy Corbin immediately worked together to dominate the ring. Madcap Moss would then eliminate AJ Styles. If this was meant to draw heat on Madcap Moss, it kind of didn't. It was only met by tired sighs from the crowd. Thankfully, Riddle entered while riding a scooter as the #20 entrant, which immediately brought back the electricity in the crowd. He even received a loud pop when he threw off his slippers, like he always does in his entrances.

Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin would then double team Riddle, before turning their attention on Rick Boogs, who they successfully eliminated. This time, an audible boo was heard among the crowd, especially since the folks at the arena wanted to see more of him. Thankfully, WWE booked him well in this show, allowing him to showcase his strength with a lot of manhandling. They didn't really have to make him the Men's Royal Rumble Winner.

#21 is Drew McIntyre, and the smile disappeared from the faces of The Happy Folks. The two would throw the other competitors to the way of McIntyre, who he quickly smashed down the mat. Drew then got his revenge by eliminating The Happy Folks one after the other, avenging the broken neck he received at the start of the year at the hands of the two. But McIntyre wasn't done, and he went down the ring to hit the two with the steel steps, fireman carry slamming Madcap Moss on the exposed steel steps.

Kevin Owens then enters at #22, immediately trading blows with Drew McIntyre outside. They then bring the fight to the ring, where Kevin Owens delivered an emphatic Pop-up Powerbomb on Drew. Owens would dominate the field until the arrival of Rey Mysterio as the 23rd entrant. Mysterio then used his high-flying moves to take down his much larger opponents, using a hurricanrana to send Riddle to the mat, before receiving a stunner from Owens.

Kofi Kingston entered the Rumble at #24, set to add new clips to his Royal Rumble highlight reel. This was a short show, though, as Kevin Owens threw Kofi right outside the ring. Kofi attempted to cling to the barricades, but the sheer momentum of the throw made him land on his two feet, eliminating him right away. Sadly, this year isn't the year when Kofi becomes the Men's Royal Rumble Winner.

Entering at #25 was Otis, followed by Big E at #26, another favorite to become the Men's Royal Rumble Winner. Big E's highly-motivated to win this match, especially since he's just recently lost his title less than a month ago. Big E would have a short but fun hot streak before he met Sheamus' Big Boot.

At #26, Bad Bunny made his return to the Royal Rumble, who made his WWE in-ring debut in last year's Wrestlemania 37 opposite of Damian Priest. His performance last year impressed both fans and wrestling insiders, which is probably why he scored this appearance in the match. He was met with loud cheers from the crowd, and he even successfully scored a Canadian Destroyer, a high-skill and risky move that he has made his signature move, on Riddle. Bad Bunny performed really well here, eliminating Sheamus with a top rope reversal, before giving Rey Mysterio a 619 alley-oop on Sheamus. Bad Bunny would then betray Rey, throwing him over the rope, with Otis finishing the deed.

At #28, Shane McMahon entered the ring, with fans going crazy. This is Shane's first appearance since Wrestlemania 37's Steel Cage match with Braun Strowman. Shane McMahon then eliminates Kevin Owens, which might lead to another program between the two, as the two already have a storied history from years back.

At #29, The Viper, Randy Orton, entered the Rumble. The St. Louis native has won two Rumbles, and if he becomes this year's Men's Royal Rumble winner, he would tie with Stone Cold Steve Austin in the most number of Royal Rumble victories at three. He would immediately team up with his tag partner, eliminating both Big E and Otis with a succession of RKOs.

At #30, the last man to enter the 2022 Royal Rumble is The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. Mad over the betrayal earlier in the night, Brock Lesnar is here to try to win a shot at Wrestlemania. Riddle's reaction here should be saved as a GIF, as he looked so surprised and happy when he heard Brock's music hit. Brock would then throw a flurry of German Suplexes at his opponents, eliminating Randy Orton, which received a lot of boos from the hometown crowd. Brock didn't give any quarters, hitting even Bad Bunny an F-5 before throwing him over the ropes. He would then toss Riddle right beside Randy Orton outside the ring, before clotheslining Shane O'Mac over the top rope.

Now, we're left with the last two competitors: Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar. Back in Royal Rumble 2020, Brock went in first as champion, eliminating 13 folks, before getting eliminated by Drew McIntyre. But this time, Drew doesn't have a Ricochet to help him out, and Brock easily overcame Drew McIntyre to become this year's Men's Royal Rumble Winner.

This opens up an interesting storyline for Brock Lesnar, who can now choose to go after his lost title in a rematch with Bobby Lashley or challenge Roman Reigns in a grunge match that will have him avenging his betrayal, and making Paul Heyman pay. While there are a lot of deserving folk out there who probably deserves a Royal Rumble win and a title shot, this result still makes a lot of sense and makes for good TV, and will surely make fans tune in every week to see where this storyline goes to next.

Royal Rumble Results: Brock Lesnar is this year's Men's Royal Rumble Winner, last eliminating Drew McIntyre, giving him a shot at the champion of his choice at Wrestlemania 38.
