For the third straight game, the Utah Jazz will look to try to beat the Los Angeles Clippers without potential Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert. The Jazz center hyperextended his knee seconds into Game 1 of the Jazz's first-round series against the Clippers and according to the Salt Lake Tribune‘s Tony Jones, Gobert is still injured and will miss Friday's Game 3.

Gobert's MRI did not show any structural damage and he has been making slight progress ever since he got injured. But clearly, the Jazz are not trying to rush Gobert back, which is a smart plan of action as his long-term health is important for their future going forward.

With Gobert still injured, the Jazz will continue to play Derrick Favors at center and give Jeff Withey minutes off the bench. Favors has played well against the Clippers and the Jazz will need him to continue to play at a high level if they want to take a one game lead in the series.
