Damian Lillard has indicated several times that he intends to remain with the Portland Trail Blazers no matter what. Dame's unwavering loyalty has placed pressure on the team to try and bring in as much talent as they can to Portland with the hopes of building a true contender around Lillard. As it turns out, Draymond Green appears to be on the Blazers' radar right now.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, Portland has kept a watchful eye on Green for several years:

The Blazers' task is strikingly similar to the Warriors optimizing these final years of Stephen Curry's union with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, as both Curry and Lillard now stand north of 30 years old. Green, sources said, is also the premier malleable defender Portland has long dreamed of supporting its Lillard-McCollum tandem.

To be clear, the Warriors have not placed Green on the trading block — or at least we don't think so. The former Defensive Player of the Year remains to be a key part of Golden State's core as they look to mount a challenge for next season (no, without Klay Thompson, this isn't happening this year).

Then again, for Blazers fans, it's hard not to imagine how their team would look like with a defensive anchor such as Green in the mix. He may no longer be the dominant figure he once was on the defensive end, but there's no denying that the addition of Draymond Green to the Blazers would serve as a considerable upgrade on their ability to defend opposing teams.

This rumor posts more questions than answers, though, with the most compelling ones being Golden State's willingness to part ways with Green. Moreover, what could the Blazers offer in return?
