At least one NFL observer thinks that the Kansas City Chiefs should go after Le'Veon Bell in free agency.

The Chiefs are a force to be reckoned with in the league since quarterback Patrick Mahomes has come out in a big way this season. There are certainly some issues with the team including the lack of defensive efficiency and a workhorse running back. Last season's rushing leader Kareem Hunt had his off-the-field issues come back to haunt him just weeks ago. Now the team is in need of a running back that can produce like Hunt was able to.

According to Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report, the Kanas City Chiefs should make filling the void at running back their first and foremost priority. Le'Veon Bell's impending free agency makes him the perfect fit for the Chiefs according to Moton.

“The Chiefs can lean on quarterback Patrick Mahomes to carry the offense, but there's a need for a balance, especially in the colder months. Going into the offseason, Kansas City will have a projected $44.4 million to spend, per Over the Cap. With a quarterback on a rookie salary, it's not an issue for general manager Brett Veach to pay Le'Veon Bell a premium for his services.”

The Chiefs would undoubtedly have one of the league's top offenses if they could make a move for Bell. Considering their offense is already at an elite level, this should be a scary thought for opposing defenses, especially those in the AFC West. Bell will demand a lot of money as he stated prior to the season and it'll be up to the Chiefs if they want to spend their money on a running back or address defensive needs.
