Russell Westbrook has been on an absolute tear this season and it's helping him climb historical charts.

Last night against the Detroit Pistons, Westbrook recorded his 44th career triple-double, tying him with LeBron James all-time.

It took Westbrook significantly less time to get to this mark.

This goes to show just how great Westbrook has been, that he can accomplish a feat like this so much quicker than LeBron.

Last night against the Pistons, Westbrook recorded 17 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds for the triple-double. It was the first time in his career he had back-to-back games with 15-plus assists — the night before he had 36 points, 17 assists and 11 rebounds in an overtime win against the Nuggets.

There's not much that needs to be said about Westbrook right now, because his numbers speak for themselves. But here's head coach Billy Donovan with some high praise:

“To put up those numbers, the people that are in that category, he's a Hall of Fame player,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said. “I mean, that's really what he is. He's a Hall of Fame player. And it's really remarkable what he's doing.”
