Despite only being two triple-doubles shy of setting a new single-season mark, Russell Westbrook appeared not to be interested in any record during a postgame interview Sunday.

Following the Oklahoma City Thunder loss to the Charlotte Hornets, the 28-year-old UCLA product was visibly in a bad mood and did not answer most of the questions thrown at him. He also made it known that he is more interested in winning games for OKC rather than setting individual records.

“We gotta win. That's my thoughts.”

Westbrook recorded his 40th triple-double of the season on Sunday and is only one away from matching Oscar Robertson‘s best ever mark back in the 1961-1962 season. He is also on pace to be the first player to average a triple-double in 55 years.

However, the Thunder have now lost back-to-back games and are in danger of losing their hold on the sixth seed in the Western Conference if they don't get back to their winning ways soon. With only six games left on their schedule, the team needs Westbrook more than ever to lead them to as much victories as they can get to gain momentum heading into the playoffs.
