Russell Westbrook is back with a vengeance. If you had any doubt that this would be the year the lion would be fully unleashed, then here it is; all the proof you need.

The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard has played at a demon-like pace thus far, becoming the first player to post 100 points, 30 rebounds, and 30 assists through the first three games of the season, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

Westbrook put up a monster line against the young Los Angeles Lakers, posting 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 16 assists in a 113-96 win for the Thunder.

Westbrook also became the first since Lakers legend Magic Johnson to record two triple-doubles in his first three games of a season.

The 27-year-old also became one of four players in the last 30 seasons to own a 100-30-30 stat line through three games in any span through the regular season, the others? — LeBron James, Larry Bird, and Michael Jordan.

This isn't the first time he's done it, as he did it two seasons ago when he got off to a torrid run at the end of the regular season after losing then-teammate Kevin Durant to a foot injury, putting him on the running for MVP along with James Harden and Stephen Curry.

Needless to say, Russell Westbrook is out to prove everyone that he is the very best in the association, and coach Billy Donovan couldn't be happier with these performances as he's singlehandedly led OKC to a 3-0 start this season.

The Long Beach native is off to a blazing-hot start, averaging 38.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 11.7 assists through three games for the Thunder.
