The Los Angeles Lakers blew another double-digit lead to a lottery team (at home) on Friday night. This time, it was to the 8-12 Sacramento Kings at three overtimes. What a hoot!

Coming off the Lakers' rally post-LeBron ejection in Detroit and solid showing vs. the Pacers, the Lakers were undoubtedly ready to get the ball rolling.

Welp, not tonight. The Lakers fell to the Kings, 141-137.

LeBron James had 30 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds in the team's return from a five-game East Coast road swing. Anthony Davis put up 23 points on 9-of-22 shooting but settled for far too many jumpers. He added eight rebounds, four assists, three steals, and four blocks. Westbrook finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Afterward, Davis, LeBron, and Vogel openly voiced their frustration after yet another discouraging loss.

“Listen, we’re all disgusted at the losses,” LeBron said. “That’s the way it is. You also have to say even-keeled and have to understand that we can get better from our loss and get better from our wins. We know we got a lot more room to improve.”

Westbrook shared his own perspective:

“Get some rest. Get ready for Sunday,” he said when asked how the Lakers rebound from this L. “The game is over. Regardless of how many minutes we've played, we've got to get our bodies ready for Sunday.”

Whether the Lakers do actually have the bodies is the most important question of their season.

“Yeah I don't think it's dramatic for us internally,” Westbrook added about the ups and downs of a long season. “We got a sense of urgency, but we also understand adversity and we understand bumps in the road…Don't panic, stick with each other.”

Easier said than done, evidently. Anytime the Lakers seem to establish momentum, they seem to respond with an underwhelming performance.
