The NFC West rivalry between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams has been one of the closest rivalries in the NFL since Russell Wilson took over at quarterback his rookie year in 2012.

With most games between the two teams coming down to just a few plays, Wilson has often struggled against Los Angeles. You can expect something different from this weekend’s matchup between the two squads. On the daily Locked On Seahawks Podcast, Corbin Smith and Rob Rang discussed this weekend’s rivalry game, with Smith predicting that Wilson makes personal history:

Smith: I think this is a game where Russell Wilson shows that he is usually very good at bouncing back. He had a poor game against the Bills. I think it is against Russell Wilson’s mental makeup to have two bad games in a row. It just is not how he operates. I think Russell Wilson is going to have one of the best statistical games against the Rams that he has ever had. In fact, I predict that he will set a personal best for passing yards against the Rams. He had 313 in 2014, so when you think of 2020 Russell Wilson, 313 passing yards doesn’t really seem like a bold prediction. But the Rams have played him tough and I think there’s going to be enough yardage there also in 2020 when the offense is buzzing pretty good. But I think he sets a new personal best for passing yards against the Rams.
