Ryan Anderson knows his role. And that role will be an interesting one if Kawhi Leonard is ever defending him.
Anderson had this quick joke when asked about what his strategy will be if the two-time Defensive Player of the Year is every guarding him.
Ryan Anderson: "If Kawhi wants to guard me the whole game, then I'll be standing almost out of bounds to give James that extra space."

And you can't put it past the Rockets to do something like this. No franchise has thought outside the box more in recent history, so why not extend the game outside the lines as well if it helps you win?
Of course, Leonard's primary responsibility this series is expected to be James Harden. With all of the pick-and-rolls Houston runs, Leonard will also surely find himself matched up on other Rockets like Anderson as well.
It will be interesting to see tonight if this ever does happen with Anderson tonight and if he stays true to his word. Game 2 tips off in San Antonio at 8:30 p.m. CT.
