The New Orleans Saints will not be at full strength for their Week 7 tilt with the Chicago Bears. According to Amie Just of Nola.com, both running back Alvin Kamara and tight end Jared Cook are officially out for Sunday's afternoon matchup.

Kamara is dealing with a high ankle sprain that kept him out of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday practices. The third-year back made a surprise visit on the team's injury report last week, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he did play. Despite the injury, the two-time Pro Bowler earned 18 touches for 66 yards and no touchdowns — a far cry from his previous production.

For the season, Kamara has 86 rush attempts for 373 yards and one touchdown. He has also reeled in 33 receptions for 276 yards and a score.

Earlier in the week, New Orleans signed free agent running back Zach Zenner as an insurance policy for Kamara. It now appears that he may play alongside Latavius Murray and Dwayne Washington.

As for Cook, the Pro-Bowl tight end is also dealing with an ankle injury of some sort. He did not practice all week as he deals with the injury. The veteran tight end scored New Orleans' lone touchdown in their 13-6 Week 6 win over the Jaguars.

On the year, Cook has 15 receptions for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Backups Josh Hill and Brian Parker should see an uptick in snaps on Sunday. There is a possibility that do-it-all Taysom Hill gets snaps at the position as well.

In all, the Saints will be shorthanded for a big matchup on Sunday.
