New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara missed his second straight practice after what looked like an injury suffered during the team's first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. Kamara was at the bottom of a pile fighting for a loose ball in the exhibition game. He continued to play in the game for the first-team offense.

The Saints haven't listed Kamara, 24, as injured. Yet, he missed two consecutive days at the club's training camp for a seemingly unknown reason.

Per John Sigler in USA Today Sports' SaintsWire:

Besides Kamara, a few other Saints players weren’t spotted at practice on Monday, including left tackle Terron Armstead. Armstead’s ankle was rolled up on by a falling Vikings defender in the preseason game, but he gutted through the obviously-painful situation to finish out his time with the first-team offense. Linebacker Alex Anzalone wasn’t observed, either, and he exited Friday’s preseason game after just five snaps. The Saints have not offered updates for either of them.

Kamara is a two-time Pro-Bowl back and pass-catching threat in the backfield for the Saints, proving to be the most complete and dynamic offensive threat for quarterback Drew Brees. The 5-foot-10 star won the 2017 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

Last season for New Orleans, Kamara rushed 194 times for 883 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also hauled in 81 receptions for four TDs in 15 games. The Saints selected Kamara in the third round of the 2017 draft out of the University of Tennessee.
