Alvin Kamara still doesn't mind sharing the backfield with Mark Ingram.

In fact, the New Orleans Saints superstar seems be doing all he can to convince general manager Mickey Loomis to bring back his veteran teammate in free agency this offseason.

After the Saints posted a highlight video of Ingram on Facebook, Kamara forcefully replied that they needed to re-sign the player with whom he's split backfield duties since coming into the league two seasons ago.

Ingram had 138 carries for 645 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last season, averaging 4.7 yards per carry.

The 29-year-old was a first-round pick of the Saints back in 2011, and has been a fixture of the team's offensive attack ever since. His numbers took a dip in 2018 after New Orleans afforded more responsibility to Kamara, who responded with a second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance after winning Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017.

Both Kamara and Ingram have frequently spoken of the benefits stemming from the Saints' two-headed approach at running back.

Still, though Ingram indeed wants to continue his career in New Orleans, he's also fully prepared to move on and re-emerge as a dedicated feature back at 29.

“I love the organization, and I hope it all gets worked out,” he told Mark Inabinett of NOLA.com earlier this week. “But at the same time, I have all confidence in my abilities and all confidence in what I can do given the opportunity to be a feature guy. So I’m not scared to bet on myself.”

The NFL's free agency period officially begins on March 11th.
