New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan specializes in terrorizing opposing quarterbacks.

But before he steps back on the field to try to get the Saints to the Super Bowl, Jordan is headed to the sidelines … the XFL sidelines.

Jordan will be a sideline reporter for Saturday's game between the New York Guardians and Dallas Renegades:

Jordan has always been comfortable in front of the cameras, and not just on the playing field.

The 30-year-old Saints stud made an appearance at the NFL Scouting Combine and revealed he played through a core muscle injury that ultimately resulted in offseason surgery. Jordan had a good time while he was at it, joking around with the rest of the NFL Network crew while also going after officials.

A few years ago, Jordan had a very strange but humorous set of exchanges with Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. This included a postgame interview in which he suggested he would send Newton a bottle of wine. Jordan did just that:

Might this be the first step in Jordan's post-retirement plan? Regardless, he has the sort of personality and outspokenness that seem to fit in with the XFL brand.

The Saints will certainly wish Jordan a speedy recovery from the core surgery. The former First-Team All-Pro racked up a career-high 15.5 sacks this past season in addition to 25 quarterback hits and 15 tackles for loss.
