On Tuesday, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff got absolutely paid. Goff and the Rams agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension. That extension is worth $134 million and has $110 million guaranteed.

New Orleans Saints pass rusher Cameron Jordan took to Twitter to weigh in on the contract signing.

For those that weren't aware, Cameron Jordan and Jared Goff went to the same college, the University of California, Berkley (Cal). They didn't play at the same time (Jordan's last year was in 2010 and Goff didn't start until 2013). It's still a brotherhood though, something that will link them to one another for the rest of their lives.

Clearly Jordan is having fun with the situation. The reason he was telling Goff he was supposed to sit out for a couple weeks is pretty simple too. The New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Rams face off with one another in Week 2 of the regular season.

Obviously, it would be extremely helpful for the Saints if Goff wasn't playing in the contest. That won't be the case though.

Although to be fair, I don't think that was ever on the table in the first place. At no point did it appear Goff would be sitting out until his contract was fixed up.

Jordan knew that, of course, but was just having fun with the situation.

With Goff now paid and joining Carson Wentz, that leaves Dak Prescott as the quarterback from that particular draft class that's still waiting for his payday. Then one has to start wondering about quarterbacks from the year after such as Deshaun Watson, Mitchell Trubisky, and of course Patrick Mahomes.

Those contracts are likely still a little ways away though. For now, it's all about Jared Goff and that massive contract. Maybe Cameron Jordan can convince him to sit out anyways.
