The New Orleans Saints have a lengthy list of players who made an appearance on the team's injury report this week—including Drew Brees. Despite being added to the injury report, Brees is ‘fine' to play against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Brees suffered an elbow injury during the final drive of last week's narrow defeat to the San Francisco 49ers. While the game was winding down, Brees was seen massaging his elbow. Sean Payton highlighted why the team had to place Brees on the injury report ahead of Sunday's contest.

“We had to list it because he had a band on his elbow, but I think he’ll be fine,” Saints coach Sean Payton said, via Luke Johnson of NOLA.com.

The veteran quarterback was seen wearing a compression sleeve during Thursday and Friday practices with the Saints. However, on Saturday, Brees was able to practice without the sleeve and appears to be ready to go in Week 15.

This isn't the first time that Brees has dealt with an injury this season. Earlier this year, the Saints' longtime signal-caller sustained a thumb injury in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams.

The thumb injury caused Brees to miss five games until he finally returned in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals. Since his return, Brees has totaled 1,732 yards, 15 touchdowns, and only two interceptions.

In addition, New Orleans has gone 4-2 in his past six starts and owns a 10-3 record on the season. The 40-year-old quarterback will look to continue his momentum on Monday night versus the Colts.
