It seems as though veteran New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is setting milestones on a weekly basis this season. Not only is he the all-time leader in passing yards in NFL history, but he's also put himself in select company with 500 touchdown passes after his impressive performance in the win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

Following the Saints' fifth win of the 2018 campaign, the future Hall of Famer was asked about setting yet another milestone. Brees, as per usual, is focused on the winning rather than the incredible stats he's compiled over the years, via Josh Katzenstein of New Orleans Times-Picayune

“Obviously, it's a significant milestone, but I'm just focused on winning football games and if I just keep it very focused, then I think those things, they tend to happen,” Brees said after the game. “Listen, I will forever be grateful for the opportunities I've had in the NFL, to play this game, to play on the teams that I've had a chance to play on, the teammates, the coaches, they're the ones that have made this so rewarding.”

As Brees continues to pad his legacy with remarkable performances and an impressive resume, the savvy veteran still has his sights set on winning another Super Bowl for the Saints before walking off into the sunset as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Although Brees has only one title to his credit, he's sparked the debate over the greatest player to play the position and mentioned in the same breath as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana. Even though Brady is still going strong with five rings in his trophy case, Brees has made things interesting as they both enter the twilight of their storied careers in the league.
