The New Orleans Saints have managed to shore up a surplus of talent under center this offseason. As a result, it appears quarterback Taysom Hill is poised to resume his role as a Swiss army knife on offense.

Of course, this will continue to have a major effect on his status as a viable option in fantasy football. According to ESPN ‘s Mike Clay, Hill will b utilized as a TE'Flex option as opposed to quarterback:

Big news – Saints OW Taysom Hill has been granted TE/Flex eligibility in ESPN Fantasy leagues. He will no longer be eligible at QB, though we reserve the right to strip TE/Flex and add QB if he takes over as starter during the 2020 season. Plan accordingly, deep leaguers!

Hill's versatile skill set has made him one of the more intriguing players in the league thanks to his efforts in head coach Sean Payton's high-powered offense. It seems he is creating as many problems for fantasy sites as he is for opposing defenses.

Fantasy owners will want to take note of Hill's status with their drafts coming up just around the corner. Despite his contributions, he has hardly ever been considered to be a commodity in the scoring system. Of course, this could be why fans were hoping that he would have eligibility at three positions.

The arrival of quarterback Jameis Winston as another backup will undoubtedly take away from Hill's time as a quarterback. Regardless, the Saints' efforts to keep him around this offseason indicate that he is primed for an elevated role within the offense.
