The New Orleans Saints racked up another impressive win cruising past the Cincinnati Bengals 51-14 on Sunday afternoon that was fueled by their explosive offense.

However, it saw head coach Sean Payton go to some intriguing measures to motivate his team prior to the game by smashing the fire alarm in the team's locker room, according to Josh Katzenstein of NOLA.com.

This is something that Payton has since admitted to doing that in the locker room to capture the attention of his team. The Saints responded in a huge way on both sides of the ball in a one-sided affair with them taking full command of the contest. The offense was able to drum up 509 total offensive yards with star quarterback Drew Brees completing an efficient 22-of-25 passes for 265 yards with three touchdown passes.

Star wide receiver Michael Thomas had eight receptions for 70 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Saints' defense was able to pick off quarterback Andy Dalton twice after completing 12-of-20 passes for 153 yards and sacked him four times.

Throughout the years, Payton has often found unique ways to motivate his team on the field. It is something that has allowed him to continue to stay fresh while getting his message across in many different methods. This may not have been the most recommended way of doing that, but it is something that sticks in the minds of his players that has provided that extra internal push to perform well on the field. Payton may draw a fine for his actions, but it was something that he more than likely felt it was worth going forward with.
