New Orleans Saints fans have had a rough 24 hours, losing in their playoff matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and possibly saying goodbye to future Hall of Famer Drew Brees. Now Saints fans have another worry on their mind: the status of Michael Thomas, with Ian Rapoport having the details.

Thomas, who was held catchless during Sunday's Saints game and mocked by a Tampa Bay defender afterward, has been the subject of speculation among analysts and fans.

Many are puzzled by the inability of the Saints to get Thomas going in a win or go home game, and according to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport, nothing is off the table.

“I would not rule anything out,” Rapoport said about the Saints in a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. “I don't think anything is imminent.”

Rapoport isn’t the only person speculating upon Thomas’ status with the Saints. Fans also believe that something isn’t right. Their concern was multiplied after Thomas caught people’s attention with a since-deleted tweet this afternoon.

Thomas’ tweet could be a subtle dig at Drew Brees, who struggled for the Saints in what was likely the final game of his career. Perhaps the outspoken wideout is telling people that “help is on the way” for him in the form of another quarterback. Or maybe Rapoport is correct in believing that Thomas’ time in NOLA may be coming to an end.

The Saints will have to face many tough decisions including what to do with Thomas. The wide receiver struggled with injuries this season, being limited to only six regular-season games.

The Saints will likely make that decision once they have word on their quarterback situation. Until then, New Orleans fans will have to weather the storm of subtweets and rumor mills.
