It looks as the New Orleans Saints will be without Terron Armstead ahead of Sunday's clash with the Denver Broncos. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the left tackle has tested positive for COVID-19, and will therefore miss Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

Following the announcement, Armstead took to Twitter to thank fans for their outpouring of support, and reveal that he, so far, remains symptom-free.

Per The Athletic's Jeff Duncan, the team's contract tracing has so far revealed that no further players seem to be at risk. There does not appear to be an outbreak inside the New Orleans' organization which is certainly positive news for the NFL, who only yesterday announced the rescheduling of the Ravens-Steelers' game meant for Thanksgiving, due to an outbreak.

The avoidance of another scheduling fiasco will be of little comfort to the Saints, however, who will not only be playing without their starting left tackle, but their top left guard Andrus Peat, following a concussion he sustained last Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. In operating without the starting left side of their offensive line, Taysom Hill will be forced to face an aggressive Broncos' defense that succeeded last week in forcing Miami's Tua Tagovailoa to the bench.

In being forced to operate without Armstead, the Saints are expected to turn to backup James Hurst in the interim. A former undrafted free agent that entered the league in 2014, he signed with New Orleans earlier this year, following his release by the Baltimore Ravens after a suspension from the league for taking performance-enhancing supplements.

Hurst was reinstated to the Saints' roster after week 4 and has served in a backup role ever since.
