Not exactly the type of offseason headlines the New Orleans Saints were hoping to have players make. The Drew Brees retirement was big enough for the Saints, now they have to wait and see what happens next with Marshon Lattimore after he was arrested on Thursday night for suspicion of receiving stolen property.

According to Adam Ferrise of cleveland.com, Lattimore was booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail after being arrested at around 10:30pm.

Jail records say Cleveland police’s gang investigators arrested Lattimore about 10:30 p.m. Thursday. The records show three other men were arrested by the gang unit at the same time as Lattimore. One was arrested on suspicion of improperly handling a gun in a car and two were arrested on suspicion of having weapons under disability, meaning they illegally possessed a gun with a felony record. – cleveland.com

Marshon Lattimore is a Cleveland native who spends much of his offseason in the city. His arrest detail have not been released yet.

Until the specifics are released, it's relatively unknown what sort of discipline Lattimore will face. It's a bad look regardless for one of the leaders of the New Orleans Saints defense.

Lattimore is a three-time Pro Bowler who also won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2017. He emerged early in his career as a lockdown corner and after a couple of slower seasons, Marshon Lattimore began to rebuild that reputation again in 2020.

In 14 games last season, Lattimore had 62 combined tackles and more notably, 2 interceptions and 11 pass deflections, helping lead the Saints back to the playoffs yet again before they ultimately slipped up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round.
