The New Orleans Saints were heavily impacted by the absence of their top two cornerbacks in Marshon Lattimore and Ken Crawley as of late. All the Saints could do was watch helplessly as Los Angeles Rams second-year quarterback Jared Goff picked them apart for over 350 yards and two touchdowns in Week 12.

There was speculation that the two could return this Sunday, however, both seemed to still be having trouble nursing their injuries throughout the week. According to Josh Katzenstein of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Crawley could be good to go despite the lingering injury:

“I’m not feeling better,” Crawley said. “It still kind of bothers me a little bit, but I’m just working

Meanwhile, Lattimore reportedly missed Thursday's practice after getting in some limited work the day before. Needless to say, both of the team's promising, young corners are pretty banged up heading into the final stretch of the 2017 NFL season.

Prior to the injury, Lattimore was making a strong case as one of the league's up and coming corners. He recorded 36 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. It could have been — and could still be — argued that he is the rookie of the year from the defensive side of the football.

Meanwhile, Crawley has stepped up opposite of Lattimore to help restore a suddenly formidable Saints defense. However, should any of these two be forced to miss any more action, that could leave them exposed against a Carolina Panther's offense that has enjoyed its fair share of ups and downs this year.
