New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas seems pretty happy about Eli Apple coming over from the New York Giants.

The Saints officially traded for Apple back in late October, and that time, things weren't exactly going well for the Giants as they were off to a 1-6 start at that point in the season. Things haven't gotten much better for the Giants, and that apparently has Thomas thrilled about Apple's departure from the struggling franchise.

After the New Orleans Saints’ win over Carolina on Monday night, wide receiver Michael Thomas gave Apple some props while taking a little shot at the New York Giants in the process.

“We had to get my boy up out of the Circus,” Thomas said in an Instagram story, “and get him around his folks so he can flourish. Proud of you bro we not never going back!”

That comment probably won't make many Giants fans all that happy, but it's clear that Apple at least finds himself on a team that has Super Bowl aspirations this season.

After Monday night's win over the Carolina Panthers, the Saints are now in the driver's seat in the NFC with a 12-2 record. They'll try to keep their momentum rolling along on Sunday when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are coming off their own big victory over the New England Patriots.

After the Week 16 clash, the Saints will finish up the regular season with a rematch against the Panthers.
