In his second year in the NFL, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has established himself as one of the rising stars at his position.

The 24-year-old exemplified just that through his latest personal feat by joining New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in an exclusive category, via ESPN.

This comes after yet another strong outing from Thomas against the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon where he recorded nine catches for 93 yards and a touchdown. He now has 92 catches for 1,085 receiving yards and five touchdowns through the first 15 weeks of the season.

It has put him on pace to break Marques Colston's franchise record of 98 receptions in a single season. This could also place him in contention to become the first wide receiver to receive Pro Bowl selection in the 12 years that Drew Brees has the been the quarterback in New Orleans.

Thomas has quickly stepped into the role as the top receiving target for Brees over the last two seasons making 184 catches for more than 2,222 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns through this point of his brief NFL career. If he can continue this high level of production, there's no question that he will earn respect and recognition as being one of the game's elite pass catchers.
