Michael Thomas is watching the playoffs from home. The receiver for the New Orleans Saints suffered a season-ending loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The San Francisco 49ers then entered the picture.

Thomas got revenge on Saturday, sort of. The 49ers curb-stomped the Vikings in a 27-10 win. The 49ers will face either the Green Bay Packers or Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. The Vikings will join Thomas in watching from home.

Thomas was elated to see the 49ers run over the Vikings, literally and metaphorically.

Naturally, fans berated the record-breaking receiver. He responded by admitting that he played through the game with a broken hand. Despite so, he tallied seven receptions for 70 yards in the loss.

Thomas set an NFL record by catching 149 footballs in the regular season, surpassing Marvin Harrison of the Indianapolis Colts. His marvelous season earned him a first-team All-Pro nod and an appearance in the Pro Bowl.

Thomas wasn't the only Saint happy to see a Vikings loss in the Bay Area. Defensive end Cameron Jordan also took to Twitter, posting a picture of him smiling on an empty couch.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway of the Twitter messages is that Thomas now has a broken hand. One should wonder if he will need offseason surgery or perhaps a cast to fix the ailment. Though, that likely won't stop him from attending offseason activities.

Or, the biggest takeaway is that Thomas and Jordan can now have an NFL Playoffs viewing party with the Vikings.
