Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman did not have a good night on Monday as he was benched in the second half of their loss to New Orleans. And New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas went out and poured a bunch of salt on those wounds.

Thomas went full troll on Norman on Twitter following the Saints' 43-19 win with some savage shots at the veteran corner, whom he called a “zone corner” and a “clown.”

Norman fired back at Thomas in a series of tweets, which he has since deleted. Thomas called him out for that as well while calling him a “Goof ball con artist.”

Thomas had a relatively quiet game with just catches for 74 yards against the Redskins, but he’s in the midst of an excellent season. He’s currently fourth in the league with 519 receiving yards and also has three touchdowns. So while he may talk a lot of trash, he’s shown he can back it up.

Norman is obviously no stranger to getting into beefs with receivers over the years because of his abrasive personality and playing style, but Thomas has shown he's clearly not one to back down from any of it. It certainly helps that he and the Saints clearly got the better of Norman on the day.

It could be a while before the two of them meet again on the field, but when they do, it should be interesting since there's no chance either of them is going to forgive and forget after this fiery exchange.
