The New Orleans Saints lost a heartbreaking NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams, but that's not stopping team owner Gayle Benson from staying positive. Benson also stated she will be taking action in hopes of changing league rules after an obvious pass interference penalty against the Rams was not called.

Benson and head coach Sean Payton have every right to be frustrated, angry, disappointed, etc. The fact of the matter is not much can be done now, but things can change in the future of the game. The pass interference penalty was blatantly obvious and unfortunately, the officials missed the call. The call was, in fact, a game changer and rather than heading to the Super Bowl, and the Saints will never forget the missed call.

Although most would consider the call for the demise of the Saints' Super Bowl hopes, even Payton said that plenty of plays could have been made. The fact that the game went to overtime may never have happened if the officials made the call and the Saints may be headed to Atlanta. Both teams had many opportunities to score, but missed calls like these simply hurt the game.

The league is supposedly open to reviewing pass interference penalties such as these heading into the 2019 season. The missed call was especially crucial at the time in which it occurred as the game was coming to a close. The league will need to implement some very major changes in accordance with potential game-changing calls like these.
