Count Cam Jordan among the New Orleans Saints players fully on board with Russell Wilson taking the reins from Drew Brees at the quarterback position.

Jordan made an appearance on Tuesday morning's edition of ESPN's “Get Up,” saying the Saints have the chance to win a Super Bowl with Wilson under center.

Jordan said he would take Wilson “in a heartbeat,” though he made sure to clarify the Saints would prefer the early-season version of Wilson.

This is all purely speculation, at least for now.

Wilson has not demanded a trade, and his preference is still to remain in Seattle. However, he listed the Saints as one of his preferred destinations in the event the Seahawks choose to trade him. The fit would certainly make sense for New Orleans.

The Saints are in search of a new quarterback, with Drew Brees expected to formally announce his retirement in the near future. Taysom Hill is under contract, but it remains to be seen whether Sean Payton and Co. are comfortable with Hill as the starting quarterback.

Trading for Wilson would give the Saints a legitimate franchise quarterback in the prime of his career. Would they be able to make the money work?

New Orleans has cap issues, even with Brees agreeing to reduce his salary to a veteran's minimum. The Seahawks would have to pay a sizable portion of Wilson's deal if they trade him, but the Saints would still have to manifest some cap space.

Jordan feels the Saints can win a Super Bowl if they acquire Wilson. Will they have that chance? Time will tell.
