New Orleans quarterback Taysom Hill showed Thursday night his athleticism is off the charts. Late in the 3rd quarter with the Saints trailing the Cowboys 20-10, Hill took off and ran. He then hurdled Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee.

Players have hurdled defenders many times before. But it's not often that they do so and clear them completely. Hill landed the hurdle, then took a hit and kept on running for a pick up of 23 yards.

The Saints need all the help they can get rushing the football. They are playing once again without All Pro running back Alvin Kamara.

Taysom Hill made his first start of the season Thursday night. He missed time earlier this season with a foot injury and concussion issues. The Saints lost starting quarterback Jameis Winston a few weeks ago with a torn ACL. Trevor Siemian had been filling in, but had struggled.

Siemian only threw for more than 250 yards once in the five games he started. That prompted New Orleans head coach Sean Payton to turn to Taysom Hill at quarterback.

New Orleans is mired in a three game losing streak that has seen them drop out of the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys have been facing turmoil themselves. Their offense has been in a funk. They defense got shredded in a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving. Despite allowing a hurdle, their defense overall has looked much better Thursday night.
