The New Orleans Saints might be very short handed on Thanksgiving in a pivotal game vs the Buffalo Bills. According to NFL Network's Taylor Bisciotti, neither Alvin Kamara nor Mark Ingram practiced on Tuesday. That places them both on the wrong side of being able to play Thursday.

All Pro running back Alvin Kamara has missed the last two games with a knee injury he suffered vs the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints traded for Mark Ingram earlier this season, and that trade had been paying off.

Ingram had filled in nicely the last two weeks. He has over 220 yards from scrimmage and has chipped in on the passing game, reeling in 10 catches. But, he also sustained a knee injury in the Week 11 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The New Orleans Saints held a walkthrough on Tuesday, so the fact that neither player practiced is not entirely accurate in terms of determining if they will play Thursday. But if they cannot, the Saints will be down to Tony Jones Jr. as their starting tailback.

New Orleans has been hit hard of late with injuries. Tight end Adam Trautman sprained his MCL and will be out 4-6 weeks. Both offensive tackles, Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk, are listed as questionable. Defensive end Marcus Davenport is also dealing with an injury and is listed as questionable.

The Saints have been in a free fall, losing three straight games and sitting at 5-5. They are currently tied with the San Francisco 49ers for the final wild card berth.

A game on Thanksgiving against a Bills team that was just embarrassed is not a great remedy either.
