Mike Triplett says that the New Orleans Saints have confirmed that Taysom Hill will start for them at quarterback on Thursday night. The Saints are going to host a tough Dallas Cowboys team. New Orleans is 5-6 on the season. Dallas is 7-4.

This is going to be a tough game for the Saints, but the Cowboys have struggled as of late. They have lost three of their last four games and are currently on a two-game losing streak. New Orleans has not been much better as they are currently on a four-game losing streak after losing to the Buffalo Bills, 31-6, on Thanksgiving.

There haven't been many options for the Saints at the quarterback position this season after Jameis Winston got injured. Hill only has seven completions on the season on eight attempts for 56 yards and one interception.

Unfortunately for the Saints, there isn't much that they could do besides give Taysom Hill a chance. Many Saints fans wanted Ian Book, the former Notre Dame quarterback stand out, to start on Thursday night. The Saints were right there in the playoff contention, but after losing four games in a row, it does not look like they're going to make the playoffs this season.

There are many things that need to be addressed in the organization. Getting a quarterback is going to be the number one priority. For now, Taysom Hill will be the starter and the Saints need to do everything they can to try to win with him running the offense.
