Sean Payton, the head coach of the New Orleans Saints, is the first known member of the NFL that has tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus. After the news broke out, Payton tweeted an update on his status after battling the coronavirus.

While everyone was fixated on the Los Angeles Rams releasing Todd Gurley, Payton revealed he tested positive for coronavirus. The longtime coach of the Saints said that he began to show symptoms on Sunday and was tested on Monday.

Then, after waiting a few days for the results, Payton discovered that he was carrying the disease. At the least, Payton is feeling better and isn't showing any respiratory issues. Also, Payton shared his experience with fans to show that people should be taking the coronavirus more seriously.

Similar to other people that have tested positive for coronavirus, Payton has begun distancing himself socially. In addition, he will remain quarantined until he no longer shows symptoms. Just a few days ago, Payton was among the group of coaches that believed it was best if the NFL postponed free agency.
