New Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill came up with a huge play during the dying moments of regulation of Monday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Down seven points with less than a minute remaining, the 30-year-old took it all the way to the end zone to score a very impressive game-tying solo touchdown.

Tayson's touchdown sent the game into overtime, as the Saintes look to make it back-to-back wins following last week's victory over the Detroit Lions.

Hill has quickly emerged as a key player for the Saints over the past few months. As it is, he appears to be the next man in line for New Orleans once Drew Brees finally hangs it up. The front office seem sold on Hill and his ability to step into Brees' shoes, with previous reports stating how head coach Sean Payton and pretty much the entire squad absolutely adore Hill. The aforementioned report even pegged the Saints QB as a ā€œbigger Lamar Jacksonā€, which in spite of Hill's skillset, is frankly quite a stretch at this point. I mean, this is the league MVP they're comparing Hill to.

It is worth noting that the Saints signed Jameis Winston to a one-year deal back in April, and the general belief was that he was going to back up Bees. Hill recently surpassed Winston in the pecking order, after New Orleans opted to list the former as the squad's primary backup behind Brees. Nonetheless, there's likely going to be a tight race between Hill and Winston throughout the season, as to who Brees eventually passes the baton to.
