The New Orleans Saints clearly have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. They have an unbeatable passing-rushing-receiving trifecta in Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas. Their O-line is legit with studs like Cameron Jordan and Marshon Lattimore. Their secondary unit isn't letting anyone off easily either. That's why left tackle Terron Armstead verbalized the Saints' mindset for training camp – Super Bowl or bust.

Here's what Armstead had to say in an interview with NFL.com's Kevin Patra.

“It's gotta be Super Bowl or bust in all honesty,” he said. “That's it. It's not really anything else past that. It's Super Bowl or bust. We don't get to the big dance, it's a failure of a season. That's it.”

But obviously, that's what everyone's supposed to say, right? While that may be true, the Saints have repeatedly lived and lost their Super Bowl dreams in such precarious situations. They've had their hopes dashed far too often to be speaking in hyperbole or typical sports chatter.

There was the memorable Minneapolis Miracle three years ago. Stefon Diggs took victory right out of the hands of the Saints to send them home sobbing. The following year they lost to the Los Angeles Rams. That game was also known as the infamous pass-interference non-call game. The ruling was so bad that it led to the league making an actual rule change for the following season. Last year ended in heartbreak as well. New Orleans fell to the Vikings once again in OT during their Wild Card matchup.

Drew Brees is on the wrong side of 40 and isn't getting any younger. If there was ever a team that could really lay claim to having a championship or bust mentality this season, it's the New Orleans Saints.
