The New Orleans Saints addressed the defensive side of the ball in the later rounds of the NFL Draft, selecting a cornerback, linebacker and defensive tackle, though a need at safety remained following the free agent departure of Marcus Williams. The Saints didn't wait long to make a move at safety, agreeing to a contract with Tyrann Mathieu. New Orleans wide receiver Michael Thomas, as excited as anyone about the signing, had three words to say in a message posted on his Twitter account.

Thomas immediately tweeted, “load it up” after the saints signed Mathieu. Either the All-Pro wideout is upset with his PlayStation or he's very excited about the signing and wants the season to arrive sooner so he and his teammates can suit up.

It's most likely the latter. New Orleans has had an exciting last couple of days, as the NFL Draft's first round yielded an offensive tackle and a wide receiver in Trevor Penning and Chris Olave, giving Thomas new teammates on offense.

Now, the Saints have upgraded their defense, which was already a strong unit this past season, with Mathieu. It's understandable that Thomas, who has every reason to want to get back on the field after missing each of the last two season due to an ankle injury, is itching for the start of the NFL season.

He's not the only one.
