Drew Brees didn't get to test free agency this offseason, choosing to re-sign with the New Orleans Saints. That doesn't mean he won't have people that are trying to recruit his services for the future. Despite returning for his 20th season in the NFL, multiple networks are pursuing Brees for an NFL analyst role.

At 41 years old, Brees signed a two-year, $50 million contract to return to the Saints next season. With him nearing the end of his career, the longtime signal-caller has already begun to consider his options after football.

Once Brees is content with walking away from football, he could decide to take a similar route as Tony Romo. As a matter of fact, it was reported earlier this year that Brees would be open to the idea of starting a broadcasting career.

For the time being, ESPN, FOX, and NBC are all expressing interest in Brees once he retires. According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, a network deal for Brees could be valued at around $6.5 million annually.

Of course, earlier this offseason, Romo returned to the booth at CBS after signing a monumental 10-year, $180 million contract. But when Romo first stepped in the booth, his first contract was worth $10 million over three years. Therefore, Brees could actually make more annually than Romo did on his first network contract.

Heading into the 2020 season, Brees has his sights on making a run at the Super Bowl with the Saints. Regardless of what the Saints do in the upcoming season, it's safe to say that television networks will be anxiously awaiting his decision next offseason.
