Carolina Panthers quarterback Will Grier made his second career start Sunday versus the New Orleans Saints, attempting to tie a bow around a difficult season for his club. On the other side of the coin, the Saints are eyeing a possible Super Bowl bid. When the two forces met, linebacker A.J. Klein struck in the second quarter, snatching an errant throw for a quick 14-yard pick-six.

Klein, who is in the midst of his third season with the Saints, spent the first four years of his career with the Panthers. Entering play Sunday, he had accrued just two interceptions in his career, and had not yet visited the end zone.

Grier was thoroughly flummoxed during his first start, tossing three interceptions last week. He hasn't gotten off to an impressive start in Week 17 against the Saints as he eyes making a case to remain with Carolina heading into 2020.
