Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are up early in their Week 9 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So far in their QB battle, Brees has gotten the upper hand over the Bucs' Tom Brady with two touchdowns in the opening quarter to Brady's zero.

In the final seconds of the first quarter, Brees connected on his second TD pass with a 7-yard heave to TE Adam Trautman to put the Saints up 14-0 as the time expired.

Brees has been flawless so far in the first fifteen minutes. The former Super Bowl MVP was able to tally a total of nine completions to that many players proving that his Saints offense is quite versatile.

These NFC South Division contenders are neck and neck in the standings with Tampa Bay having just a one game advantage over the Saints. If New Orleans continue to stamp their class against the Bucs, the Saints might be on their way to a slight lead on top of the division and potentially hand Tampa Bay their first loss at home this season.
