Sunday's matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams is being billed as a battle between one of the best defensive players in the league, L.A.'s Aaron Donald, and MVP contender Russell Wilson of Seattle.

Donald acknowledged that Wilson, who himself has emerged as one of the top QBs in the game, has posed as one of his biggest challenges thus far. With this in mind, Donald and the Rams are doing everything they can to prepare for Wilson and the Seahawks' offense:

“There are times where I had him wrapped up and he still found a way to get the ball away,” Donald said Thursday during a Rams videoconference with reporters before practice, via Gary Klein of Yahoo Sports. “So, it made my job harder, but we are definitely prepared and ready for that challenge this week.”

Wilson is coming off a so-so performance in the Seahawks' Week 9 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. The 31-year-old logged a season-high 390 yards passing, but also had two interceptions, as well as a couple of uncharacteristic fumbles. We've seen how Wilson can put up an occasional bad game. Donald and the rest of the Rams are hoping for a similar outing when they take on the Seahawks on Sunday.

For his part, Donald has been nothing short of outstanding for the Rams, and has once again emerged as strong candidate for this season's Defensive Player of the Year — the third in what has been an illustrious career for the 29-year-old.
