Veteran wide receivers Dez Bryant and Brandon Marshall were both released from their respective NFC East teams this past offseason. But even though Dez was cut by the Cowboys earlier than Marshall was by the Giants, he still remains teamless while Marshall has since signed on with the Seattle Seahawks.

Marshall recently expressed his disappointment that his fellow veteran still doesn’t have a job in the league one week into the start of the season.

“He should be in the league,” Marshall said per Brady Henderson of ESPN. “He should be playing right now … It's something I've been watching and [I'm] a little disappointed in why he's not there, why he's not with a team. Actually today we were watching a clip of Dallas and I was just like, ‘Man, why isn't this guy in the league right now? Why isn't he playing? Why isn't he with a team?' So a little disappointed.”

Ironically, Marshall took a little dig at Dez, who had expressed his interest in joining the Giants shortly after his release from the Cowboys. Not too long after Marshall said there was no room for Bryant in the Giants’ receiving corps, he was cut from the team.

But while Bryant still hasn't signed on with a new club, he’s had at least a couple chances to do so already. He turned down a multi-year offer worth $21 million from the Baltimore Ravens and also couldn’t come to terms on a deal with the Cleveland Browns last month.

Dez seems committed to waiting until he finds a perfect situation for him. He’s reportedly interested in playing for a contender and has recently sounded out the New England Patriots.

So despite Marshall’s disappointment that Bryant remains out of the league, it’s ultimately Dez’s decision when and where he chooses to sign for.
