Free-agent cornerback T.J. Carrie is planning to visit the Seattle Seahawks this week, according to Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Carrie spent the 2019 campaign with the Cleveland Browns, playing in 16 games while making six starts. During that time, he registered 52 tackles, a sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and four passes defended.

He was released by the Browns last month.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Ohio, was originally selected by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round (219th pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He appeared in 13 contests in his rookie year, finishing with 44 tackles, a pick, a forced fumble, a couple of fumble recoveries and nine passes defended.

The following season, Carrie became a full-time starter, participating in 15 games and recording 52 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and nine passes defended.

He went back to a reserve role in 2016, totaling 25 tackles, a pick, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and four passes defended, and during his final season with the Raiders in 2017, Carrie returned to the starting lineup and tallied 84 tackles, a pair of fumble recoveries and nine passes defended.

Carrie proceeded to sign a four-year deal with Cleveland in March 2018, and in his first season with the club, he played in every game and posted 74 tackles, a sack, an interception, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and eight passes defended.

The Seahawks could certainly use some depth in their secondary, so Carrie could be a good fit in Seattle.
