Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson further solidified his standing as the MVP frontrunner with his game-winning touchdown drive to beat the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.

With just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and the Seahawks trailing 26-20, Wilson and the offense got the ball on the opposing six-yard line. The cold-blooded Pro Bowler then proceeded to orchestrate a 13-play drive that ended when he spotted wide receiver D.K. Metcalf in the end zone and rifled a pass through a tight window.

Metcalf held on to give Seattle a 27-26 lead with 15 seconds to go. They would miss the two-point conversation but hold on for the victory, moving Pete Carroll's team to a 5-0 record atop the competitive NFC West.

As impressive as Wilson's late-game heroics were, Metcalf — along with everybody else — has come to expect that kind of clutch performance from the Super Bowl-winning QB.

“With the quarterback we have, there's no doubt in our minds that we're not going to go down here and score,” the second-year wideout said after the game. “Anytime we're in a that moment it's easy for us to just go out there and play our football because we know we've got a quarterback that can make anything possible, anything can happen. He can deliver when the game is on the line.”

Metcalf had six catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday.

Seattle trailed 13-0 at halftime before Wilson led the comeback. Overall, Wilson completed 20 of 32 passes for three touchdowns and an interception in the win at CenturyLink Field. He has 19 touchdowns and three interceptions on the season, with a 72.8% completion percentage and an 84.8 QB Rating, which would be the best mark of his career.

Wilson now has 30 game-winning drives in his NFL career.
