Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf continues his great showing after he scored the game-winning touchdown in their Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson spotted the Ole Miss standout lurking in the end zone and rifled a pass to lift his team to a tightly-contested 27-26 victory.

The Seahawks improved to 5-0 for the first time in franchise history. Metcalf then talked about his performance and the game-winning play that he completed in the dying seconds of the game:

“The great ones don’t shy away from big opportunities,” DK Metcalf said. “Great players make great plays in big-time moments. I want to be considered one of the greatest, and in order to do that I’ve got to have a lot of weight on my shoulders in the big-time moments. I want the ball to come to me.”

The Mississippi native finished the encounter with 93 receiving yards on six receptions with two scored touchdowns while his running mate in Tyler Lockett generated 44 receiving yards on four touches.

The early MVP candidate in Wilson tallied 217 passing yards on 20 of 32 passes completed and three touchdowns. It wasn't his best performance on the field but it was enough for the Seahawks to turn a 13-point deficit to an eight-point advantage in just a total of eight combined played. The squad's collaborative effort helped them complete a comeback to steal the victory and preserve their unblemished record.

Perhaps Metcalf's latest game-winning touchdown will only be one of many more to come in his career moving forward. The sophomore receiver and the rest of the Seahawks will have their bye in Week 6 and will be facing the Arizona Cardinals next on October 25.
