Doug Baldwin has been a stud wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks for a few years now, but things may be taking a turn for the worse. After suffering multiple injuries over the years, it appears that his career may be in jeopardy.

According to a report from ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Baldwin may be forced to retire and may not play in another NFL game.

Needless to say, this comes as a shock to the entire NFL. Baldwin struggled mightily with injuries last season and only played in 13 games. If he has indeed played his last down in the league, he will go down as an incredibly popular player who always carried himself with complete class.

During the 2018 season, Baldwin caught 50 passes for 618 yards and five touchdowns.

Baldwin has played his entire eight-year career with the Seahawks. If he doesn't play again, he will finish his career with 493 receptions, 6,563 yards, 49 touchdowns, and will have a 13.3 yards per catch average. Those numbers signify an incredibly successful career, although we hope that it isn't over.

Seattle went out and drafted Ole Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf in the 2019 NFL Draft. Metcalf dropped a long way from the first round, but he has big-time potential if he can grow his game.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Baldwin, but Seattle is hoping for good news in the future. Baldwin is a hard worker with a lot of heart and will continue working to return. If he can't, he will find great success in whatever is next for him in life.
