Seattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister finds himself in new territory after parting ways with the New England Patriots this offseason. Regardless, he is looking to keep what he learned from his former teammate and tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Hollister spent two seasons learning behind Gronkowski in New England. According to Andy Patton of the Seahawks Wire, he admits he has taken plenty away from the former Patriots star:

“I learned a ton from Gronk,” Hollister said. “Not only him as a player, just how he approaches the game, how he is as a person. He just works his butt off every single day. He fought through a ton of injuries which I saw on a daily basis. Really tough guy. You just gotta fight for your teammates, and that’s what I’m trying to do out here.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Hollister's comments. When healthy, Gronkowski was undoubtedly the best tight end in the NFL. He also proved to be every bit as tough as he was talented after battling through countless career injuries to amass three Super Bowl rings, four First-Team All-Pro's, and five Pro Bowls.

Hollister is now hoping to take what he learned from Gronkowski to become a formidable weapon in his own right with the Seahawks. Seattle certainly has high hopes that he can contribute after giving up a 202 seventh-round pick for him this offseason.

It is safe to assume that quarterback Russell Wilson is always looking for more weapons in the passing game. Hollister could have an opportunity to serve as a safety net underneath.
