Seattle Seahawks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney knocked out Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz with a hit that many have deemed dirty, and the former South Carolina Gamecocks star wouldn't be surprised if he received death threats.

“There might be death threats this week,” Clowney said with a smile after his Seahawks beat the Eagles 17-9 on Sunday in an NFC Wild Card game via Darryl Slater of NJ.com.

During the first quarter, Clowney hit Wentz helmet-to-helmet which caused the Eagles' quarterback to suffer a concussion. Clowney has some experience knowing what might be said to him from Eagles fans.

Last season, Clowney knocked out Nick Foles for a bit during Week 16 and he received a lot of hate from Eagles fans on social media. Clowney doesn't seem too worried about the Eagles fans because he laughed his way through most of the answers.

“I’ll tell you once I get on my Instagram,” he said of reaction from Eagles fans. “Because they usually light me up, tell me to go to hell, die, go to prison, you need to be in jail — you and your family, all of y’all. You should’ve seen the messages I had last year.”

“I tried to tell those boys [on the Seahawks], ‘This team hates me. Their fans hate me for some reason.' They think I tried to kill Nick Foles. It was bang-bang.”

Clowney will probably receive some sort of fine for his hit on Wentz, but the Seahawks have moved on in the playoffs and he will probably be just fine paying it.
