Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams has yet to firmly establish his footing in the team's secondary since his arrival prior to the 2020 NFL season. On top of forming chemistry with his new teammates, a nagging shoulder injury has been the primary culprit behind his slow start to the season.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has already been easing him back to the starting lineup as Adams played every snap in their most recent tilt against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11 en route to a 28-21 win.

Despite logging big minutes, the former LSU standout admitted that he has been playing through a lot of pain recently.

“The quick turnaround was very tough playing with one arm, dealing with a shoulder injury,’’ he said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Nonetheless, he remains optimistic that he will get back to the previous playing form that earned him two trips to the Pro Bowl as a former player of the New York Jets.

“But it’s getting better, and that’s the scary part,’’ he said. “So watch out.’’

In six appearances this season, Adams has already registered 38 combined tackles and 5.5 sacks thus far. His productivity has been felt by the Seahawks who had a struggling defensive rotation prior to his arrival.

The team is currently enjoying a 7-3 record to place second in the loaded NFC West competition. They share an identical tally with the Cardinals but their counterparts' divisional advantage lifted them to snag the top spot in the division.

Jamal Adams will need to quickly rediscover his All-Pro form as the Seahawks aim to vie for one of the top spots in the NFC bracket heading into the 2020 NFL Playoffs. He will aim to get his confidence back as the team enters Week 12 with a matchup against the struggling Philadelphia Eagles.
